PERFORM TRIAL AWARDED CIHR GRANT

We are thrilled to provide you with exciting funding news for the PERFORM trial! Our resubmission to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grant Competition was successful and we have been awarded $1,473,312 CAD over 4 years, with funding to begin October 1st, 2026. Congratulations to the entire team! This is a tremendous achievement given the fierce competition for funding in Canada! This funding will allow us to move forward from the completed pilot phase into the definitive phase of the PERFORM trial. All patients randomized into the pilot phase will be rolled directly into the definitive trial. So far, 39 patients have been enrolled into the PERFORM trial, and the enrollment target is 334. With 4 further years of funding, this goal should be achievable. Congratulations again! We are so proud to be on our way to completing the third large international randomized controlled trial in orthopaedic oncology!
